JANICE TODORA ON BOWLING: Manthei’s 824 tops week

Lots of excitement this past week at the Max, so let us not hesitate and get on with this week’s leaders.
Bowling in the Fun Bowlers league on Wednesday night, Bill White strung together three nice games to lead all the senior male bowlers. Bill shot games of 263, 244 and 254 for a nice 761 set.
Thursday night’s Energy Country Ford/Allstate League provided the rest of this week’s league leaders.
Leading the senior ladies is a new name to the column. Maryana Kimball, bowling on a 154 average, lit up the lanes with games of 201, 161 and 190 for a nice 522 set. Congrats Maryana.
RaeAnna Todora led all the lady bowlers this week. RaeAnna shot games of 226, 253 and 209 for a 688 series.
But this week’s top bowler is Eric Manthei. Eric crushed the pair he was bowling on with games of 259, 299 and 266 for a 824 series.
Open Championship Tournament is completed, and congrats to David Bruno for capturing this year’s championship. The Ladies City Championship was captured by Sami Jo Williams.
Congrats to both.
Up next a group of bowlers will be headed to Houston to participate in the Knights of Columbus State Tournament.
