Published 3:39 pm Thursday, March 15, 2018

The Port Arthur ISD released spectator information regarding Saturday’s parade celebrating the Memorial boys basketball team’s 5A state championship.

Spectators will stand on the Port Arthur side of Twin City Highway (State 347) and are asked to not stand on grass or personal property. The route will start by Dollar General at the Jefferson City Shopping Center heading south, then make a left on 32nd Street by Burger King, making a right on Twin City Highway (spectators in the far right lane), then heading to Memorial Stadium and entering through the second entrance. Twin City will be closed heading south, but the northbound lanes will be open. Officers will be at every intersection.

Spectators should park at the stadium and walk down in parking spots. Towing will be enforced. The Texas Department of Transportation will handle all traffic-related issues. The parade begins at 3 p.m.
