Fred “Gran” Owens, Jr. 94, stepped into eternity on February 28, 2018.  Fred was born to the union of Fred and Lettie Owens, Sr. in Rodessa, LA and later married Irma Jean Fontenot. Fred worked and retired from CA Tuner Construction. He was a member of Thomas Blvd. Church of Christ.

Gran was preceded in death by his wife Irma, son Louis “G.G.” Moore, Jr. sisters Grace Ann Johnson  (Irvin), Mattie Mae Hall (William).

He leaves to cherish his memory daughters, Exer Gardner, Chandra Smith (Danny), Freda Owens (Lamont), sons, Fredrick Lewis, Sr. (Dinah), Fred Owens III. Brothers –In- Law, John Fontenot (Doris) and Murry Fontenot (George Ann), 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, 1:00 P.M. Thomas Blvd. Church of Christ. Viewing will begin 11:00 A.M. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Service entrusted to Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
