Roosevelt Ned of Port Arthur, TX passed away Friday, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at his home with his wife by his side.  A native of Opelousas, LA, he was a longtime resident of Port Arthur and a member of Shilo Baptist Church.

A visitation is scheduled from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Rock Island Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.

He is survived by his spouse, Sharon Gail Ned; children, Vernall Windon, Virgil Ned, Roosevelt Ned, Jr., Nathan Andre Hawkins, Roshawndra Nicole (Nikki) Ned; four brothers Benjamin Ned (Ruby) of Lake Charles, LA, Harold Ned (Mary Alice) and David Ned (Irma) of Houston, TX and Herbert Ned (Rutha) of Port Arthur, TX; two sisters, Catherine Pete and Margaret Jackson both of Opelousas, LA; thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a host other relatives and friends.
