Gercie Mae Ryas Levy was called home to be with the Lord February 25, 2018.  Gercie Mae Levy was born June 22, 1940 in Port Arthur, Texas to the union of Gertrude and Percy Ryas, Sr.

Gercie was a native of Port Arthur, Texas for 77 years. She attended Lincoln High School. In her later years during her illness, she was a faithful member of GOD First, but in her earlier years she was a faithful member of First Sixth Street Baptist Church; for many years she served on the usher board and in other services of the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents:  Gertrude and Percy Ryas, Sr. son: Roy Weldon, brother: Conrad Phillips and Kenneth Ryas, son-in-law: Patrick Mercier, and brother-in-law: Alvin Franklin, Sr.

Gercie leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Clyde Bobby Levy; her children: Bailey Weldon of Houston, TX; Carolyn DeJohn (Ronald Sr.) of Port Arthur, TX and Ellender Mercier of Cypress, TX.  Grandchildren: Porsha Robertson (Nathaniel II), Ronald DeJohn Jr. (Jasmine), Christopher Fielder  (Ambar), Katalina, Jean Patrick and Taylor Mercier. Great-Grandchild, 

Melanie Fielder. Great-grandpup, Buttons Robertson.  One sister, Ida Mae Franklin. One brother, Percy Ryas Jr. (Ella Mae) and multitude of nieces and nephews family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, at God First Church, 201 14th St. Port Arthur, TX with viewing beginning at 8:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Service entrusted to Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
