JANICE TODORA ON BOWLING: Williams back on top at Max

Published 9:25 pm Thursday, February 22, 2018

Lanes were in good condition last week as there were several individual high shot last week. So let’s get started:

The Monday night Valero League had RaeAnna Todora taking top honors for the ladies this week. RaeAnna hammered out games of 229, 213 and 238 for a nice 680 set.

Kurt Cullums pocketed his first 12 shots of the night for a perfect 300. Kurt added games of 222 and 234 for a nice 756.

Kurt’s 756 fell short of Derek Williams’ overall league-leading 246, 266 and 255 for a 767 set. Derek did this in the Thursday night Energy Country Ford/Allstate League.

Thursday night also produced the top senior bowlers of the week. First Kirwin Melo shot games of 258, 237 and 192 for a 687 to lead all the senior men. The top senior lady was none other than Alice Barnes, who had games of 227, 222 and 178 for a 627 series.

The Saturday morning Stars of Tomorrow saw Blaine Seymour shoot games of 245, 189 and 216 for a nice 650 set. Cain Shaw had a nice 244 game on his way to a 632 set.

Prayers this week are going out for Robert Seymour. Robert is currently in the hospital recovering from a recent illness. I understand Jaime Engle is stepping in to take Robert’s spot as he recovers.

Until next week, good bowling …
