LIVINGSTON — The scenario is clearer for Nederland: Win and the Bulldogs are in.
Lose and play Vidor again.
Nederland gained the inside track on earning another playoff berth Friday night, blowing out last-place Livingston 72-31 on the road behind Hayden Hefner’s 16 points. Carlos Rodriguez added 11 points and Bryce McMorris had 10 in the win.
Nederland (24-12, 7-6 in 22-5A) will host Vidor on Tuesday for the right to take on Humble in the bi-district round of the 5A playoffs. Nederland beat Vidor 50-40 on Jan. 19 and has a one-game lead over the Pirates (17-15, 6-7).
If Vidor wins, a play-in game will be held to determine fourth place.
