The Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force charged Clifford Cole, 54, and his step-daughter, Amber Hayden, 32,both of Silsbee, with possession of a controlled substance. They were booked in the Jefferson County Jail. No bond was listed Tuesday.
An issued statement said Fentanyl, the controlled substance, was shipped to the UPS Office at 3755 Washington Blvd. in Beaumont.
Investigators were there Monday when Cole attempted to pick up the package inside the Post Office. Cole was immediately arrested.
Fentanyl is a prescription painkiller said to be 50 to 100 times stronger than morphine.
Hayden was detained in the truck, where there was a strong odor of marijuana and a clear baggie of Meth on the console. A further search of the truck yielded a small bottle containing Winstrol Anabolic Steroid.
The investigation continues.
