Lamar State College Port Arthur will extend its registration period through Friday.

In an issued statement, the college said the spring 2018 semester start was delayed by icy weather, with classes resuming Monday.

The additional registration period gives students five additional days to gain admission to the college and register for classes.

Online registration for those students without holds has also been reopened at www.lamarpa.edu.

“We want to make certain that everyone making the decision to be with us as a student this spring has enough time to complete the registration process and get started on achieving their goals,” said LSCPA Dean of Student Services Dr. Deborrah Hebert.

Lamar Port Arthur offer associate degrees and transferable college credits, diplomas and certificates in dozens of professional and technical areas. Admission is non-competitive, making higher education accessible to anyone with a high school diploma or the equivalent.
