Willis Joe Romero

Willis Joe Romero, age 76, of Hemphill, Texas passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018. Joe was born August 6, 1941 in Port Arthur. Joe was a Protestant and a 1958 graduate of PNG High School. He attended Lamar University and was a retired Production Supervisor with Bayer Chemical. He was a Bladesmith.

Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending with his family and grandchildren. A burial for Joe will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 2:45 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3900 Twin City Highway, Groves, Texas 77619.

Preceded in death by his parents, Willis & Louise Romero; his brother-in-law, Billy Adcock; his second wife,

Barbara Romero. Joe is survived by his wife Phyllis Romero of Hemphill; two sons Joey (Patti) Romero of Port Neches and Rob (Lisa) Bland of Mauriceville; two daughters Celia (David) Dominquez of Port Neches and Carlene (Richard) Wheat of Bridge City; and a sister Karen Adcock of Groves. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces.

Service are scheduled for Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at 2:00pm, in the chapel of Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Grammier-Oberle. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
