Jerry Colichia, 85, of Port Arthur, died Saturday, January 20, 2018. He was born on September 13, 1932, in Port Arthur, to Anna Mae Lasuzzo Colichia and Charles Anthony Colichia, Sr.

Jerry graduated from Bishop Byrne High School in 1951 and from Lamar University in 1954 with a Bachelor’s Degree. He was a United States Army veteran.  He retired as a Director of The Blood Center of Southeast Texas after twenty-six years of service. Jerry was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church

Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Manskey and her husband, Tom, of Forney; son, Scott Colichia of Port Arthur; brother, Ronald Colichia of Houston; and grandchildren, Ryan, Dylan, Hayden, Keaton, and Katelyn Colichia and Heather and Macy Manskey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of fifty-one years, Maxine Colichia; and brothers, Charles Colichia, Jr. and Larry Colichia.

A gathering of Mr. Colichia’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with his Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with his interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
