Don Lynn Williams

Don Lynn Williams of Port Arthur, TX passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX.  He was born in Elizabeth, LA on June 27, 1947 to Gwendolyn and Charles Williams.  Don was a crane operator, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and employed by Texaco, Mundy Co. Inc., and H.B. Zachery. Many people danced the night away when DJ Seawuf played his music. He sang with the male chorus and was a member of the City Wide male chorus and The Mighty Sensations.  D.L. Williams was a very well educated man who knew a lot about a lot of things.

Don is survived by his wife Mary E. Williams, children, Dawn M. Williams, April L. Caesar (Clifton), Sparkle Williams, J. Marks (Dana), and Gerald Aubry; his mother Blanche Williams; two brothers, H. Allen Williams (Sylvia) and Tommie Lynch (Monica); four sisters, Mhresa Groce, Deboria Bryant, Pam Hodge, and Nobie L. Cleaver; one aunt, Janice McCarver; 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, special friends and acquaintances.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Donovan Aubry.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time at New Hope Baptist Church, 549 W. Gulfway Drive, Port Arthur, TX 77640.  Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
