Mrs. Virginia Boorman McCoy, 91, of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, passed away with family by her side on Wednesday, the 13th of December 2017, in Houston.

Virginia was born on the 5th of March 1926, in Terrell, Texas. She graduated from North Texas State University and was a proud member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She also obtained a master’s degree in education from the University of Houston and went on to teach elementary school for forty years—all within Port Neches Groves School District.  She was an inspiration to her many students and mentor to many colleagues.

She retired in Horseshoe Bay and was a regular volunteer at Seton Hospital, active member of The Church at Horseshoe Bay, and avid bridge player.  She was a selfless person who never met a stranger and loved her family dearly.
