Jack Vanderhoof

Jack Vanderhoof, 87, of Port Arthur, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017. He was born October 18, 1930, in Morristown, New Jersey, to Gertrude Heyer Vanderhoof and Howard Vanderhoof.
Jack retired from the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Vanderhoof of Port Arthur; sons, Dennis Vanderhoof and his wife, Judy, of Lockhart; Mark Vanderhoof and his wife, Barbe, of Dallas; and John Soliz and his wife, Roxann of Lumberton; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Vanderhoof of Kentucky; and sister, Jo Ann Lesser of San Jose, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father; son, Danny Vanderhoof; sisters, Jane Grogan and Janice De Stafani; nephew, Michael Bosquez and Jeff Caillier; and brother-in-law, Ray Fuselier.
A gathering of Mr. Vanderhoof’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Broussard’s, Nederland.
