Titans suffer first defeat

A 27-7 third-quarter run for Katy Thompson took all momentum away from Port Arthur Memorial on Saturday, and the Titans suffered their first defeat of the boys basketball season 77-68 at a showcase tournament in Houston.

Thailan Wesley led Memorial (3-1) with 23 points, Jamyus Jones had 19 and Darion Chatman sank 14. The Titans will play at Cypress Falls at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
