Alex Troy Dennis, 45, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Herman Memorial Hospital in Humble, TX.  Troy as he was better known, accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Rev. L.B. Wade at Eastern Star Baptist Church.  Troy was a 1991 graduate of Lincoln High School, and received his degree in Criminal Justice from Lamar State College Port Arthur.  He worked in the Jefferson County Correctional System for several years and worked construction for the last four years.

Alex Troy Dennis was the fifth child of the late Leamon Dennis and Audrey Tanner Dennis and brother of the late Harold Dennis.

He leaves to cherish his life his two sisters Beverly Jones and Drenell Trahan of Port Arthur; one brother Terry Dennis of Beaumont, TX; uncles Earnest Dennis and Leonard Franklin; aunts Idell Dennis and Marjorie Tanner.  Troy was blessed with two godmothers, Idell Dennis and Denise Anderson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Eastern Star Baptist Church with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
