Memorial opens girls hoops season with win

BEAUMONT — Julia Sion got Port Arthur Memorial started on the right foot Saturday.
Sion, a junior center, scored 11 points and totaled seven rebounds in the Titans’ 40-24 win over Kelly.
Daicha Kimble shot 50 percent from the floor (3 of 6) and added to the victory with nine points and eight rebounds. Jackie Gibbs added eight points.
