Arthur Ray Pilette, Sr.

Mr. Arthur Ray Pilette, Sr., 80, Port Arthur, TX, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 26, 2017, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born on August 15, 1937, in Erath, LA, to Eunice Pilette and Rosie David Pilette.
Mr. Pilette was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, until it closed, where he served as President of the Usher Board, a Lector and a member of the Board of Southeast Texas Mardi Gras Committee. For 26 years, he was a faithful member of the Knights of Peter Claver #182, where he served as past Grand Knight, current Financial Secretary and keeper of the KPC #182 Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings – Claudee, Wilson, Earnest and Gloria Pilette all of Erath, LA, daughter, Tony Pilette and son, Danny C. Pilette.
Mr. Pilette is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Helen Pilette; two sisters, Mary A. Hasley, Beaumont, Theresa Robertson, Erath; two brothers, Joseph Pilette, Lafayette, Claude Pilette, Erath; five children, Doris Plowder, Arthur Ray Pilette, Jr., Edward J. Pilette (Linda), Rebecca Pilette, Eunice K. Pilette (James), Florida M. Pilette, and Louis K. Pilette; stepsons, Pattrick Sanders (Cynthia), Charles Sanders (Kimberly); 62 grandchildren and 76 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church with visitation from 8 a.m. until service time. Arrangements under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
