Florence “Tom” Junot

Florence “Tom” Junot, 97, of Port Arthur, died Tuesday, October 31, 2017. She was born on October 15, 1920, in Port Arthur, to Clara Laviolette Junot and A.J. Junot.
Tom was a member of the National Board of Operating Room Technologies. She loved fishing, golfing, and anything outdoors. Tom was a member of the South Newton County Sportman’s Club. She usually caught more fish than anybody. She was a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur.
Survivors include her brother, Philip Junot and his wife, Sue, of Beaumont; and numerous niece and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Beatrice Carson, Hazel Jones, and Wilma Segrest; and brother, Glenn Junot.
A gathering of Ms. Junot’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 3, 2017, at Broussard’s, with her interment following at Calvary Cemetery, Port Arthur.
