Any hope Andrew Landry had of battling back into contention during the third round of the Sanderson Farms Championship quickly washed away with a triple-bogey 7 on the par 4, second hole Saturday at Jackson (Mississippi) Country Club.
Landry, who had played the final three holes of the rain-delayed second round in one over to finish with a 74, also carded a 74 in the third round.
After opening with a six-under-par 66, his 54-hole total is two-under 214.
The Port Neches-Groves ex is tied for 43rd, 13 shots behind leader Ryan Armour. Armour shot a 67 Saturday.
Lamar ex Shawn Stefani fared much better than Landry, shooting a five-under 67 to move into a tied for 16th at 209.
