TEAM TENNIS
KINGWOOD PARK 10, NEDERLAND 2

BAYTOWN — Kingwood Park left Nederland’s bid for its first regional semifinal since 1993 a win shy.

KP went unbeaten in six boys matches, helping to end the Bulldogs’ season in the 5A Region III quarterfinal at Goose Creek Memorial. But it could have been a little different.

Nederland had gone to three sets in two of the boys doubles matches, one girls doubles battle and the mixed doubles match. Of those matches, Nhi Huynh and Hannah Abdullah came up with the only win for Nederland. Huynh, however, finished unbeaten in singles and doubles action.

Jayci Wong of Nederland was also victorious in her No. 1 singles contest.
