Dianne was born on April 10, 1949 in Liberty, Texas to Elton and     Theresa Carrington. She attended school in Anahuac and graduated from Anahuac High School in 1967. After graduating she attended Lee College in Baytown, Texas and completed the LVN program. She then worked at Anahuac Hospital.

Dianne worked various jobs including Elementary School Teacher’s Aide at Anahuac Independent School District for many years and retired from Chambers County in 2011 as a County Clerk for Precinct 3, Justice of the Peace, Tracy Woody.

Dianne was baptized at an early age and became a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. During her membership she was a faithful worker. She served as a choir member, choir secretary, choir president, church clerk, and pianist. She played piano at St. Paul United        Methodist Church as will and anywhere her talent was needed. She also attended Mt. Sinai    Missionary Baptist church in Port Arthur, Texas with her husband. Dianne loved attending church services and hearing the word of God.

Dianne was also a member of the Anahuac Sewing Club for many years and an original board member of the Chambers Community Health Center Board since the board was founded in 2007.

Later in life, Dianne married the love of her life and her Prince Charming, Mr. Nolan Gradney.  He came into her life and gave her anything and everything her heart could imagine. They were Inseparable.

Dianne was a very loving, adventurous, and outgoing person, who NEVER met a stranger.      She loved to dress-up and was well-known for her bright and colorful wardrobe. She loved     flowers, shopping, music, dancing, people, and holidays (especially dressing for them.) Dianne also loved to travel. She always looked forward to a new adventure and God blessed her with a husband who loved traveling just as much as she did and took her wherever her heart desired. Last, but not least, Dianne LOVED her family. She would do anything and everything for them and would drop everything if she thought they needed her. She loved family get-togethers and just simply spending quality time with them.

Preceding Dianne in death are her parents: Elton and Theresa Carrington, maternal and paternal grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband: Nolan Gradney; brother: Estie Carrington (Beulah); aunts: Odie Pearl West, Dollie Humphrey (Archie), Glory Dean Moore, and Maxine Bottley;   sister-in-law: Geraldine Robinson and Lois Green; brothers-in-law: Rev.
