Groves Police responded to the following calls from Sept. 20 – Sept. 26
Wednesday, Sept. 20
- A stolen vehicle was found in the 5000 block of Monroe.
- An assault was reported in the 2100 block of First Avenue.
- A license plate was stolen off of a vehicle parked in the 4600 block of Lincoln.
- A red 2001 Toyota Tacoma truck was stolen from the 5500 block of West Washington.
- A 38-year-old man was arrested after a traffic stop in the 3500 block of East Parkway.
Thursday, Sept. 21
- A person was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia in the 5100 block of East Parkway.
Friday, Sept. 22
- A 57-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop in the 6200 block of 39th Street.
- Theft was reported in the 3100 block of Cherry Avenue.
- A 48 year old female was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 6900 block of 32nd Street.
Saturday, Sept. 23
- Theft of debit card was reported in the 4200 block of Main Avenue.
- A Chevrolet truck was reported stolen in the 2200 block of Little John.
- A 29-year-old man was arrested for controlled substance in the 5000 block of East Parkway after a routine traffic stop.
Sunday, Sept. 24
- A 36-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 4700 block of Texas 73 after a routine traffic stop.
- A 46-year-old man was arrested for outstanding warrants in the 6700 block of 25th Street.
Monday, Sept. 25
- A 23-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man was arrested for outstanding warrants in the 6500 block of Adams after a routine traffic stop.
- An assault was reported in the 5100 block of East Parkway.
- A 33-year-old man was arrested for outstanding warrants in the 2700 block of Main after a routine traffic stop.
Tuesday, Sept. 26
- Theft of medication was reported in the 6800 block of Washington.
- Criminal trespass warnings were issued in the 5000 block of East Parkway.

At times a perpetrator may not be alone; diversion, including loud music, is a common ploy used to remove one’s belongings. Wallets, cell phones, money, and keys can become visible in shallow pockets – don’t tempt a thief. Use a combination lock on your locker – keys can disappear. If the front desk has a safe, ask an employee upon arrival if they would safeguard valuables in the health club safe. Do not leave these items in your car.
