Stanley Wayne Rising

Stanley Wayne Rising, 72, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his family. Stanley was born October 5, 1944 in Port Arthur, to Calvin A. Rising, Sr., and Irene Wukasch Rising. Mr. Rising served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gambling. Stanley was a successful business man and entrepreneur. He was also kind, generous and always there to help others.  He enjoyed picking up the tab for the military and all first responders.

Mr. Rising was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Susan Rising; daughter, Robin Rising Steele; son, Bodre Mack Rising; brothers, Alan Rising and Calvin Rising, Jr.; and sister, Marlyn Wagner and her husband, Donald.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 1:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
