Kenneth “Dale” Cooper

Kenneth “Dale” Cooper, 60, of Nederland, died peacefully at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center on Sunday, September 3, 2017. He was born on December 19, 1956, in Port Arthur, to Lucille Elizabeth England Cooper and Thomas William Cooper.

Dale worked as a machinist at I-Corp, Inc. for twenty-five years. He enjoyed woodworking and was a handyman to the point of perfection; he could do anything. Dale will be remembered for his clever mind and quick wit.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-one years, Ginger Cooper, of Nederland; daughter, Leah Vara and her husband, Manny, of Nederland; granddaughter, Kasey Vara; father, Thomas Cooper of Nederland; brother, Rendall Cooper and his wife, Judy, of Nederland; sister, Marlinda Odom and her husband, Dale, of Silsbee; and numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Cooper.

A gathering of Mr. Cooper’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Broussard’s, with his entombment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
