Recent Nederland graduate Emma Roccaforte was named Goalkeeper of the Week in the Southland Conference on Tuesday.

Roccaforte, a freshman at McNeese State, recorded two shutouts in as many games. She had four saves on four shots faced in a 2-0 win at Louisiana-Lafayette on Friday, five days after protecting a 1-0 victory at Louisiana-Monroe.

Roccaforte helped Nederland reach the 5A Region III semifinal round this past spring. Her award was part of a sweep of weekly honors for the Cowgirls; freshman Havana Johnson was named Offensive Player of the Week and senior Gabi D’Alesandro claimed Defensive Player of the Week.
