Lillie Ryan

Lillie Ryan, 74, of Port Arthur, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017, at Gilbert Assisted Living in Beaumont. Lillie was born November 22, 1942, in Port Arthur, Texas, to the late Thomas Ryan and Mamie Polite Ryan. She prayed the rosary every day and retired from Chase Bank after many years of service. Lillie enjoyed shopping, gardening, sewing, and watching her favorite soap opera, “The Bold & the Beautiful.”
Lillie is survived by her children, Marianne Vandergiessen and Arie of New Bury Park, CA; and Kristen Johnson and her husband, Marcus of Port Arthur; brothers, Clem Ryan and wife, Helen of Damascus, Oregon; and Tommy Ryan and wife, Theresa of Port Neches; sister, Sparkle Anselmo and husband, Louis of Port Neches. Ms. Ryan also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Ryan Penland, Leighann Penland, Olivia Vandergiessen, Lundi Blanchard, Natalie Vandergiessen, Maurice Vandergiessen, Martijn Vandergiessen, Larissa Vandergeissen; and one great grandson, Nolan Rogers to cherish her memories.
A gathering of friends and relatives will be Thursday, August 17, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A celebration of Ms. Ryan’s life will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 18, 2017, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
