Oscar Flores, age 79, passed away on August 9, 2017 at Gulf Health Care Center in Port  Arthur under the care of Altus Hospice. Previously, he was a longtime resident of Nederland, Texas. He was born on May 3, 1938 to Natividad and Julia Ortiz Flores. Oscar was a retired insurance salesman.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice and Diana and his parents. He is survived by two sons, Paul Flores and his wife, Kathy of Port Neches, Stephen Flores and his wife, Carla of Colorado, three brothers, two sisters, grandchildren, Josh, Colby, Whitni, Kaley and Kortni Flores and great grandchildren, Gracie, Tessa and Connor.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 1:00 PM till  2:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Memorial Service to honor Oscar’s life will be at 2:00 PM at Clayton Thompson. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors.
