BEAUMONT — An early morning bomb threat for several areas of the Jefferson County Courthouse led to an evacuation of the buildings on Monday.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Beaumont Police Dispatch with information that there were explosive devices at the courthouse, probation and City of Beaumont Municipal Court Building, according to a press release from JSCO.

The sheriff’s office along with Beaumont Police Department and Beaumont Fire Department responded to the county courthouse and evacuated everyone that was in the building. An explosive detection dog was called in to check the area around the county courthouse.
