A large box style trailer reported stolen from a Nederland lawn care business was located in Port Arthur and police have a person of interest.

The Triangle Lawn Specialists trailer was stolen from Nederland on Sunday and Port Arthur Police learned of the incident that day, Officer Mike Hebert said.

Hebert did not say where the trailer was found but did say that the lawn equipment was missing.

At about 11 p.m. that night Port Arthur police received a tip from a cooperating witness that the lawn equipment was in a garage in the 1100 block of Thomas Boulevard. A search warrant was obtained and officers recovered numerous items of commercial lawn equipment such as a zero turn mower and leaf blowers.

Hebert said he does not know if all of the stolen items were recovered.

A person of interest has been identified.

The trailer theft, compete with a photo of the trailer, was circulated on the internet and various crime watch sites.
