Daniel Dale “Pete” Guidry

Daniel Dale “Pete” Guidry, 65, of Orangefield, died Friday, July 21, 2017. A native of Lafayette, LA, Pete retired from Goodyear Chemical where he served in the Plant Protection Division as a Paramedic and Fire Fighter; he was, also, a member of the Wingfoot Club. Pete was an avid fisherman and golfer and enjoyed working at the Bayou Din Golf Club and visiting the casino playing the slots.

Pete was a man of small statue but had tremendous heart and leaves behind a host of dear friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Guidry of Orangefield; his son, Michael Guidry of Lumberton and stepson, John Thibodeaux of Beaumont; his daughter, Christie Thomas of Lumberton; two brothers, John Guidry of Port Arthur and Michael Guidry of Vidor; a sister Diana Judice of Orangefield. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The family will host a gathering of friends and family to Celebrate the Life of Pete from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in the chapel of Grammier Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur.
