Enola Jones Brooks, 78, of Port Arthur passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.  A native of Scott, Louisiana, she was a longtime resident of Port Arthur.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and also a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for over 37 years.  Enola won the highest award, Inez Botman State.  She was a former employee of St. Mary’s Hospital for over 20 years.

Enola is survived by one son Vincent Troy Brooks (Cynthia); one granddaughter Trenola La’Cobie Brooks and step-grandson Caleb Roberts; three nieces Jackie Anderson (Edward) of Scott, LA, Sabrina Poullard (Wilson) of Lake Charles, LA and Charlotte Poullard of Lafayette, LA and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Adam Jones and Linda Sias Jones; her husband Arthur Brooks and one sister Christiana Poullard.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 4600 Procter Street, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
