A man has died from injuries suffered after an accident with a crane-like piece of equipment in Port Arthur.

The accident happened around 4:15 p.m. Thursday at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Terminal Road near Motiva.

A spokesperson with the City of Port Arthur said the man was working on a right-of-way in the above-mentioned area when the incident occurred.

He was transported to The Medical Center of Southeast Texas and died shortly after.

The incident is under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
