Lincoln High and Washington Redskins football great Joe Washington Jr. will be on hand Saturday as the Gift of Life will provide free prostate cancer and medical screenings for Southeast Texas men at the Carl Parker Multipurpose Center at Lamar State College Port Arthur.
The screenings are scheduled for 9 a.m.-noon.
Eligible men who lack health insurance or can’t afford their high deductibles can take advantage of lifesaving services while also enjoying food and prizes. To register, call the Gift of Life at 833-3663. Walk-ins are welcome.
Washington, a Super Bowl champion in the 1982 season and two-time national champion at Oklahoma (1974 and 1975), will meet and greet all who participate in the event.
