3 PNG golfers named Academic All-State

Port Neches-Groves golfers Brynna Bailey, Brooke Pitre and Rian Weatherford were named Academic All-State players by the Texas Girls Coaches Association, it was announced Monday.
The TGCA released lists of All-State players for all six classes. The three PNG players were the only local golfers honored.
Bailey finished second to teammate Karlei Hemler in District 22-5A individual standings when PNG won the team title at Henry Homberg Golf Club in Beaumont.
