Police: 3 arrested with 70 grams of meth in car

BEAUMONT — A traffic stop led to the arrest of three people who police said had 70 grams of methamphetamine and a firearm in the car Tuesday morning.
A Beaumont Police Officer patrolling in the area of Seventh Street and Interstate 10 east reportedly saw silver PT Cruiser run a stop sign at 11:10 a.m. and made a traffic stop.
During the stop the officer found approximately 70 grams of meth and a firearm inside the vehicle, according to a press release from Beaumont Police Department.
Jonathan Haasl, 52, of Beaumont, Heidi Worthington, 36, of Beaumont, and Rodolfo Hernandez, 40, of Port Arthur were arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
