Eda Marie Rubin

Eda Marie Rubin was born to Lillie Rubin and Joseph Gilbert Rubin Sr., on July 20, 1949, in Rayne, La.  She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Rubin, Sr., and brother, Roderick Rubin.

She was baptized at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Rayne, La., in 1949.  She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in grade school and was a member of the Sacred Heart Class of 1967.  She had a BS in Education from Lamar University.  She was employed by Arco Polymers as an Administrative Secretary for more than 20 years.  She also taught at Les Enfant Centre for some time.

Eda is survived by her Mother, Lillie Rubin, her son, Quentin Brown, Sr., 2  brothers, Joe Rubin (Sandra), Peter Rubin, 3 sisters, Marian Rochon, Annette Griffin, and Karen Theall (Donald), one grandson, Quentin Brown, Jr., one granddaughter, Daniel Alpough, and 2 great grandchildren, Donovin Wilson, Alijah Cason, also a host of Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Friday, June 2, 2017.  Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Church.  Funeral Service will be at 10:00 Am., following the visitation.  Interment will be at Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
