BEAUMONT — A convenience store clerk was robbed at gunpoint early Thursday morning in Beaumont.

Beaumont Police were called to the robbery about 2:30 a.m. at Express Mart No. 28, in the 1700 block of East Cardinal.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20’s, medium build. He was wearing a red shirt, red hat, red bandana covering his face and black pants. He entered the store armed with a pistol, according to a press release from the Beaumont Police Department.

The suspect was also wearing light colored gloves.

Once inside the store the suspect ordered the clerk to give him money. The clerk complied and the suspect was last seen leaving the store on foot.
