Published 12:02 am Friday, May 12, 2017

The Ed Peveto Crawfish Boil, which benefits Orangefield student-athletes, will begin at 1 p.m. May 27 at the Jewell Cormier Community Center, Highway 1442 in Orangefield.

Crawfish will be served along with potatoes, corn, mushrooms and sausage. A children’s auction, Cajun auction and live auction will be held as part of the event. Kids also can participate in a moonwalk.

The scholarship fundraiser is named after Peveto, who was a longtime athletic director and head football and track coach at Orangefield. Two scholarships are given annually, one for a female student-athlete and another for a male. Scholarship recipients are chosen based on academics, character, attitude, integrity, hard work and effort.
