Theresa Mae Hicks-Chaney 89, of Port Arthur, TX; was born October 6, 1927 to Jonas Hicks and Mildred Glover.

Theresa received her wings on May 3, 2017. God sent His angel to reclaim His Daughter.

Services will be May 13, 2017 at St. Paul United Methodist Church 821 Freeman Avenue. Port Arthur Texas. 77640; Rev. David L. Daviss Pastor. Visitation will begin at 9AM until funeral at 11AM. Entombment will be in Memory Garden Cemetery, 3098 Highway 69 N, Nederland, TX.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents: Jonas Hicks and Mildred Glover and her husband Henry Chaney.

Theresa “Grandy” Chaney leaves a legacy of love to her loving daughter: Susan “Moma Sue” Haynes of Port Arthur, TX. two granddaughters: Rochelle “Roe” Haynes-Mitchell of Port Arthur TX. Andrea Savoie (Regg) of Baytown TX., four grandsons: Bobby Haynes of Killeen TX., Durkelyn Haynes (Dana) of La Marque TX., Andre Haynes (Shavonda) of Texas City TX., Justin Haynes (Shirley) of Fort Worth TX. Great Granddaughter: Freddrica “Pig” Haynes (Christopher) of Port Arthur, TX., four godchildren: Justin Haynes of Fort Worth TX., Ala’shay Gilliam of Baytown TX., Durneisha and Diamonique Haynes of La Marque TX. 22- precious Great Grandchildren and 11- Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Services has been entrusted to Proctor’s Mortuary, Beaumont, TX.
