One shot, another injured during Easter disturbance

An Easter Sunday disturbance left one man with a gunshot wound and another injured in Port Arthur.

Port Arthur Police responded to a call of a shooting victim shortly before 10:30 a.m. April 16 to Port Arthur Townhomes, 3500 Turtle Creek Drive. While there they found that a 32-year-old Port Arthur man sustained a gunshot wound after a disturbance while at the apartment complex, according to a press release from PAPD.

Police said the suspect is a 24-year-old Beaumont man.

The suspect was detained until police arrived.

Both the shooting victim and the suspect were sent to The Medical Center of Southeast Texas for non-life threatening injuries.

Charges may be filed at a later date.
