DECISION ON MHS-CENTRAL BASEBALL GAME DELAYED TO APRIL 18

A decision on whether the March 28 Beaumont Central-Port Arthur Memorial baseball game should be overturned that was to be handed down late last week has been pushed to April 18.

The District 22-5A executive committee will meet at Vidor then to go over the issue, Memorial coach Jessie Riojas said.

Riojas protested the 11-5 Central victory in Port Arthur on grounds that Central’s starter exceeded the maximum pitch count for one game. The starter threw 124 pitches, 14 more than the limit, according to documentation.
