Robert Devonn Howard, also known as “Rob”, 41 years old, of Beaumont, Texas, gained his wings to glory to be with his Lord and Savior on March 30, 2017.  Robert passed away of a sudden illness at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas.  Robert was born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas where he was a 1995 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and a basketball player for the    Bumblebees.  Robert loved spending time with his family and friends and especially loved fishing on Pleasure Island in his spare time.  Robert was employed by Villas of Sunnyside in Beaumont, Texas.

Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents Ollie and Viola Hebert, grandfather, Otis Howard, great-grandmother Selina Fuselier and brother Rodney Upchurch.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Mrs. Deborah Upchurch and stepfather, Michael Wiltz; his father, Raymond Hebert and stepmother, Tamela Hebert; grandmother, Marion Howard; two sons:  Robert Devonn Howard II of Port Arthur, Texas and Xavier Howard of Houston, Texas; two daughters:  Aspen Rhine of Port Arthur, Texas and Kameron Howard of Houston, Texas;  five brothers:  Steffond Upchurch, Ovide Omar Upchurch of Port Arthur, Texas, Dalton Logan stationed in Iraq and stepbrothers, Anthony Green of Port Arthur, Texas, and Michael Segura of San Diego, Ca; three sisters:  Raeshona Brooks of Rockwell, Texas and stepsisters Marci Wiltz of Port Arthur, Texas and Amber Gage of Houston, Texas,  and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services for Robert “Rob” Howard will be Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas with John R. Adolph officiating.  Viewing will be from 9:00 am-11:00 am and service will follow at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
