Albert “A.B.” Miller

Albert Benjamin “A.B.” Miller of Port Arthur, Texas died Monday, April 3, 2017, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy, Texas.   A.B. is a native of Leesville, Louisiana and a long life resident of Port Arthur, Texas. He was a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church and former member of Royal Masters Social and Civic Club. He retired from Texas Dry Dock as a sandblaster.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church, 549 West 11th Street, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 12 noon until service time.  Reverend Eric Guidry will officiate.  Entombment will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.

Preceding A.B. in death: parents John and Sally Miller; wife Earnestine “Money” Johnson Miller; sisters Lela Newkirk Jolivet and Cleo Newkirk Johnson; brothers, Johnnell Newkirk, Oscar “O.K.” Miller and William “Buck” Miller, and son-n-law Rev. Ransom Eugene Howard Sr.
