Byron “B.J.” James Sessions, 33, of Nederland, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017. He was born on March 2, 1984, in Arlington, Texas.

B.J. spent his youth in Arlington where he developed a love of fishing at the age of 2. He would rather do nothing else but fish. He was a painter by trade and a creative handyman. He will be remembered as a sweet spirited, kind and loving soul.

Survivors include his daughters, Alana and Willow Sessions of Fort Worth; girlfriend, Royce Perkins of Nederland; parents, Karen and Randy Atkinson of Dayton; brothers, Corey Sessions and his wife, Allison, of Spring, Joshua Sessions of Spring, and David Atkinson of Keller; sister, Heather Atkinson of Tyler; grandparents, Sarah Gardner of Arlington, Betty Reeves of Bonham, and David Shields of Friendswood; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Gardner.

A memorial service for Mr. Sessions will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Cremation arrangements will be under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
