On February 23, 2017, Margie Nell (Kemper) Morris was called home to glory. She was a native of Port Arthur, Texas; born and raised.  She was a loved and faithful member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother, wise counselor and friend to many. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Reverend and Mrs. Ellis Smith Kemper Sr., a brother, Willie Kemper and two older sisters; Erma Lee Thomas and Ophelia Virginia Ortiz.

Margie Nell leaves to cherish her memories one son, Patrick White Sr. and two daughters, Yolanda Morris- Wiltz (Stephen) and Sheketha Cole (William); four brothers; Reverend Ellis Smith Kemper Jr., Reverend Thomas Smith Kemper Sr., Reverend Elroy Glen Kemper Sr., and Reverend Amos J. Kemper Sr; and two sister, Lucy Ann Travis and Evelyn Kemper-Gibbs; 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Margie Nell’s homegoing celebration will be 11 AM Saturday, March 11, 2017 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 549 W. Gulfway Drive Port Arthur, Texas with visitation from 9AM until service time.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
