Darla Kay Richard (Landry), 67, of Nederland, Texas passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Darla was born September 9, 1949 in Port Arthur, Texas to Francis and Lannie Landry.

Darla loved to play Farmville, work in her garden and watching the Hallmark channel. Her pride and joy were her grandbabies and chiweenie.

Darla was preceded in death by her parents, Lannie Landry and Geraldine Francis Harris. She is survived by her husband, Felix J. Richard; children, Barry Salas (Miki), Jerry Salas (Julia), Jeremy Richard, Kassie Dancel (Robert) and Felix Richard III (Melanie). Darla also leaves behind grandchildren, Damien Alexander Salas, Kameron Hunter Salas, Clifton Jamison Newsom, Leilani Illori Dancel, Kahana Emily Dancel, Dakota Orion Richard, Skyler Aki Ogawa Salas and Justin Sarona Salas; siblings, Donnie Landry, Lannie Landry, Carroll J. Landry (CJ), Gary Landry and Nancy Abshire to cherish her memories.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life for Darla Richard will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.
