Scored eight points in a 76-66 loss to Southwestern Assemblies of God in the Sooner Athletic Conference quarterfinals. English finished his senior season averaging 11.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game and was named third-team All-Sooner Athletic.

Scored eight points in 8 minutes of an 84-74 loss at Charlotte. UTEP will play Old Dominion tonight in the Conference USA tournament.

Made first-team All-SWAC and won her third SWAC Player of the Week award. Totaled 30 points (10-of-19 shooting from floor and 7 of 8 from free-throw line) in a 64-45 home win over Alcorn State and 16 points in a 58-46 home win over Southern. Texas Southern played Prairie View A&M Tuesday night in the first round of the SWAC tournament.

Named first-team All-Southland Conference. Finished regular season with 32 points on 12-of-15 field goal and 8-of-9 free throw shooting at McNeese State. Weisbrod also had nine rebounds in that game.

Scored 12 points the game before against Nicholls State (made 6 of 6 free throws).

He previously served as sports editor since August 2015 and has won or shared eight first-place awards from state newspaper associations and corporations.
