Eual Lee Puckitt, 89, of Kountze, died Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on June 3, 1927, in Jasper, to Vivian Phillips and Lloyd Alton Puckitt. Mr. Puckitt was an active member of the Kountze chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association and past president of the Beaumont chapter. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after over thirty years of employment.
He is survived by his daughter, Cyndi Thomas and her husband, Robert, of Mountain Brook, Alabama; grandchildren, Matthew Sticker of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Kaitlyn Thomas of Mountain Brook, Alabama; brother, Eugene Puckitt of Lumberton; and sisters, Mary Frances Conn and her husband, David, of San Antonio and Ethel Perretta of San Diego, California. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Imogene Puckitt; and brothers, James Puckitt and Jeff Puckitt.
A gathering of Mr. Puckitt’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2017, with his funeral service at 2 p.m., at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Interment will follow at Daniels Cemetery, Kountze.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice of Beaumont, 2450 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas 77713.
