Baseball Titans sink Pirates, go to 2-0

KOUNTZE — Carlos Granados went 3 for 3 with two doubles and drove in three runs Friday in Port Arthur Memorial’s 10-1 win over Spurger in the second day of the Kountze baseball tournament.

Riyad Antoine added to the Titans’ onslaught going 2 for 2 with a double and RBI. J.P. Fernandez was 1 for 2 with an RBI.

Van Ellas earned the win after two hitless innings. He struck out one and allowed an unearned run.

Memorial’s Daniel Mitchell struck out four and gave up a hit in two innings pitched.

Memorial (2-0) will take on Kountze at 4 p.m. and Splendora at 7 p.m. Saturday.
